Looking for a new machine

My well loved and well used Pfaff 1471 has served me well for 25 years and many miles of sewing. It is time to replace. Any suggestions as to make and model you have had success with (not industrial)? My preference is to buy new.
The biggest concern so far is how to adjust the bobbin tension. It's hard to get a tech to understand exactly what is needed.

With proper maintenance your 1471 will last 25 more years.
After all, It takes about that long to get comfortable with a new machine. current/wink
The (even older) Pfaff 1222's last.....forever, and feel very similar.

You're right, it takes a long time to get used to a machine where everything comes auomatically and settings are second nature. Unfortunately, the armature of my existing machine is about worn out. When the end comes, it will mean a new motor.
So far my favorite is the Babylock Serenade. It is the most like the older Pfaffs.
Now that I know the replacement, the actual purchase will probably wait until my existing machine totally dies.
