This Columbian Kite Club is working on an effort to get everyone worldwide to come out and show their support for ending violence against children by flying a kite on July 3. A worthy endeavor and always nice to see something positive supported by kite flying activity.

They are working an agressive Facebook campaign, but I thought I would throw it up here for those who don't do FB.

They have a logo devloped and are encouraging folks to use it.

BTW, I did a little due diligence and the club is real. They were featured in a Kitelines article a while back. But not for this particular effort.

Wow that seems like a REALLY good reason to be out flying a kite. I will try and get out on July 3rd since that will be my Sons first birthday we will see if i can get away long enough to get one in the air. I hope people do get out for that.
