Congrats Robin!

Thanks to Everyone! It is an Honor to be elected into being of service to the AKA. THIS is one of the milestones of my lifetime! It took me about 30 years to recover this far from my younger adult life in San Diego when I drifted somewhat away from the kite clubs and Stuck in the reality of survival and spinning my wheels instead of focusing on my lifetime main passion, KITES. A very high honor for me to be part of this organization founded by Bob Ingraham,.
John Lueckenotte and I have been having a conversation about being trapped in life, just wanted to let you know you made a wise decision, John and I'm glad you are Here on kite talk forum to see the workings of it. Lots of discussion of the internet part of AKA at the meetings.
Thanks to John Gillespie for connecting me to the AKA meetings! I found an Android phone app for the Web Meeting we use for the teleconferencing online. I used it during my lunch break to hear part of the business meeting. I hope to get the meeting dates in advance so I can be present.

Region 7 RD-Elect

One of the first things I would like to do is Reach Out to all of the local clubs and kitefliers in Region 7. During this transition process, we will be approaching the deadline for submissions to be included in the next issue of Kiting. I would like to gather as much contact information as possible, and the most current, for all of the clubs in Region 7 and welcome contact info from kiters. My goal is to increase communication in region 7 between all of us. I know of or belong to a few websites for clubs, i.e; KCKC, Wings On Strings, Utah kite Fliers, Wakeless Kites, Let's please get the contact info accurate if there are ancient websites. We can also help any clubs set up a web page of some sort if need be.
I encourage all of you to go to the "My Profile" section on here below the "Home" tab, and click on the notification setting for Region 7. I will be using this feature once we get it transferred to me. I will post your local festivals and club flys on there also if you help me by giving me the information to post. Many of the other regions utilize this feature very well! (Linda, Will, Amy, Ed, ) I click all the regions to "ON" and have received ALL of their notifications for awhile and love it. A great resource especially if you get email on your phone! You can contact me on here, or boulderjunk at gmail and soon at the RD7 address once we get it ready.

Thanks Kevin, I did send my address to you. I appreciate all of your help with this. The timing was good, I'm glad you recommended that I run for the office.

Go to the top of the class!  Well done Robin, this is exactly what any club needs to make its members feel included. 

I try - but I've got a long way to walk to talk to mine!
