[Tryon] Mark your calendars for Foothills Equestrian Nature Center’s Annual Go Fly a Kite Day on April 1st at 1pm! This long running event is always a family favorite in the community. Get outside and enjoy springtime at FENCE on this fun day. It’s always a great time flying kites up on Hawk’s ridge and enjoying the wonderful view of community members flying kites and having fun together. FENCE will provide kites to the first 200 children who arrive and there will be drinks and snacks for all who attend the event. Individuals are encouraged to bring their own kites as well for the event!
Visit www.fence.org for more information or call 828-859-9021.

[Glenwood] Whitewater Mesa Fun Kite Flying Picnic
Gather up your family and friends and come to Glenwood and join us for the Whitewater Mesa Fun Kite Flying Picnic. Last year 123 people joined us so there is plenty of space without fences to tangle your kite strings, and room to park for your tailgate picnic. Admission is free and there will be a free raffle drawing for a kite at 2.30pm, so be sure to pick up your raffle ticket on arrival at the gate with the labyrinth sign. While you are here and for a completely different experience, walk one or all five of the labyrinths and a maze across the road at Whitewater Mesa Labyrinths.
BRING: your picnic, your kite, your laughter, the whole family and all your friends, your sunhat and something to sit on.
WE PROVIDE: Water, kite mending supplies, a Johnny on the Spot porta-pottie, loaner kites. Admission is free.
