Free Hot Chocolate and snacks while they last. Oh, it’s soooo much fun! This is a "Fun FLy" so bring your kite or pick up a kite at Gift of Wings at the park. See Sarah and Noreen Lephardt, John and Kris Haas, our ice artists, carve blocks of ice into masterpieces before your very eyes. This festival is FREE with plenty of FREE parking. [Long Beach] There will be kites on display, fighter kite demonstrations, lots of free-flying time, an indoor competition, indoor stunt kite demonstrations, and even an indoor Hot Trick Shoot-out.
At 6pm Sat. night the banquet begins. It will be an Italian potluck. At the banquet, awards will be presented and there will be a auction / raffle, with the proceeds going to the World Kite Museum. So bring an Italian dish or salad, and an item for the raffle. |

[Treasure Island] The 8th Annual T.I. Kite Festival. This is a two day event including candy drops, high flying contests, Rokkaku battles, sport kite demos, battle of the big kites, & free sport kite lessons. There will be a Saturday evening banquet and kite auction.

[Lowell] What: Banner Workshop and Appliqué Techniques
When: January 29 from 9-5 and January 30th from 12pm to 5pm Cost: $22.00 / per person Location: Lowell Mason’s Hall This workshop will give you the choice of building a KONE banner or design and build a creative banner of your own style. If you're building a creative personal banner, then you are responsible for the individual appliqué on the banner and you should come prepared with a photo, drawing or sketch. If you're building a KONE banner, Archie will have two different sizes to build: large and small. This workshop is limited to 15 participants. Each person will leave with their own banner! Registration must be completed by January 8th, 2005, so that materials can be ordered and received from the supplier. You must purchase a pole separately. We may get together and order poles as a group to save money. To register, send email to Archie Stewart at IKITE_2@comcast.net Archie Stewart will lead the banner workshop and Glenn Davison will present an introduction of appliqué techniques. |
