[Crescent City] Fun Fly the first Saturday and Sunday of every month. RVs, camping, motels, and resturants at the flying site.

[Beltsville] It will take place at the over President’s weekend and includes all workshops, Friday night pizza party, Saturday night banquet, and a limited edition pin. [Oregon] The Black Swamp Air Force flys the 1st sat and 3rd sun of every month.

[Newport] Newport No-Wind Classic is an annual event during Newport’s Winterfestival. Indoor kite flying demos coordinated along with indoor kitemaking for children workshops run from 2 - 5 pm in the Atrium of the Marriott Hotel. Free attendance. $ 1 fee for workshop.

[Perrysburg] Bob Lockhart of OSEC is comming over from Cleveland to Teach a Box Kite Workshop. It’s a traditional box kite 48" ripstop and wood spars. The cost will be $ 20.00 Class starts at 10:30 till finnish. You will need a sewing machine (in good working order) thread and the usual workshop/craft tools. [Austin] The Northwest Recreation Center gymnasium is filled with kites on display. A comprehensive handout is given with plans, sources of kite supplies, book references, kite building tips, kite organization information e.g. AKA, and a calendar of Region 8 events. Five workstations are available for building simple kites. $1 for kids, $2 for adults.

[Austin] Hundreds of kites fill the sky to celebrate the spring. There is no registration or admission fee. This is a single line competition. All kites kites must be home made. Last year 6,000 attended. Come enjoy Austin, music capital of the world.
