[Nags Head] Historically the oldest running Hang Gliding event in the world, recently expanded to include a number of other "Air Games" sporting events. This year we will feature competitions in hang gliding, skydiving and kite buggying, with demos in ultralight aircrafts and kite surfing. Come along and bring your buggy or kite surf board.
       
[Kansas City] Prairie Winds Kite Festival is a three day long festival emphasizing kite flying in nearly every aspect. In 1999 the event will feature sportkite competitions, a large public flying area, a single line field with guests flyers and their amazing collection of kites, a power kiting field, a manufacturers demo field, a learn to fly field, and an auction! In 1999 Prairie Winds Festival will be combined with the Blue Devils BBQ Cookoff, a state championship BBQ contest with $10,000 in prizes and an acoustic festival with over 25 local, regional, and national acts performing live on different stages. Other activities include a fild trip day for area school children on Friday, Camping all weekend(with showers), arts & crafts fair, and an assortment of children’s activitites, and an indoor fly.
       
[Lynn] 4th Annual Regional Kite Festival and SKC. The KONE Nahant regional is the premier kite festival on Boston’s North Shore. Featuring AKA Sanctioned competitions for Novice and Intermediate flyers, Pairs amd Teams, as well as Indoor competitions. The KONE Regional Banquet and Auction will be held on Saturday evening. Sunday will feature Buggy demonstrations and races.

[Rockport] The Texas State Kite Festival brings together kite competitors throughout a five state region and more than 500 spectators during the two-day event. Competition in precision flying, figher kites, ballet, buggy pursuit and more will be accompanied by a Kid’s Kite Workshop, a Rokakku battle, Kite Fly for challenged kids, food, entertainment and lots of fun. A dinner/auction is also scheduled for the Friday night before the event. Proceeds will go to Special Olympics Kite Day and One Sky One World project.

People will be bringing food for the grills and their own drink (non Alcholic)and there will be Camping in tents but no electic or running water. Out houses will be supplied. There will be no venders or events just flying, eating, and meeting people!

[Wildwood] Arguably America’s largest kite festival, the WIKF features the 14th Annual East Coast Stunt Kite Championships (ECSKC), the World Indoor Kite Competition, and the Wild Wheels Buggy Blast. Activities begin on Friday, our Media Day, when the beach is officially opened for the season. A Children’s workshop is followed by a Kite Show featuring special guests and an overview of kiting. The Wild Wheels Buugy Blast, which began on Thursday, holds races on the hardpack at water’s edge. At the same time, the ECSKC Judge’s Workshop takes place. This is followed by a Welcome Barbecue at the Rio Motel and a Night Fly/Show on the beach. On Saturday, the boardwalk on the beach features children’s games and activities, a food court and displays by sponsors. Guest fliers are featured on an exhibition field. Free lessons on sport kites are offered to the public, as well as buggy rides and workshops. On Saturday night, the annual banquet and auction is held in the WW Convention Center. On Sunday the second day of the ECSKC and more of the same on huge exhibition fields. Fighter Kite, Club Display & Rokkaku Challenges are planned. On Monday, we go indoors for the World Indoor Kite Competition.

[Nags Head] The Rogallo Festival is a 2 day fun-fly event in honor of Francis Rogallo, the father of the "flexible wing". Event activities include the annual Kitty Hawk Kite Auction on the eve of June 5th. Many kites from Kitty Hawk Kites' display & demo fleet will be sold. Fly your single line display kites on Jockey’s Ridge Sand Dune, the largest sand dune on the East Coast, on June 6th. Fun fly events for kids, as well as kite making classes. Bring the family!
         
[Jamestown] This will be the 5th annual, we average 250-300 people that sign in. we have door prizes for all ages,with sveral competitions re; kitebuilding,reel out, kite sprint, largest, smallest.The size of the field is about seven soccer fields, we usually have wind, somtimes on the strong side. We have people from all over the state as well Minnesota,New Jersey and IL.
