[Callaway] Named by USA Today as a Top 10 venue, Callaway Kite Flight is on 200 acres of pastureland in the beautiful Sandhills region of Nebraska. Friendly residents have welcomed kite flyers from 22 states and 9 nations thus far, offering a picturesque site, home-made concessions, kite stores, camp sites, and evening entertainment. Don't miss this event where the Village of Callaway opens its arms and the skies are filled with kites from both professionals (with a pro flying zone) and amateurs.

Fliers from 22 states (and 9 nations) have flown in Callaway. We're inviting fliers from the remaining 28 states to join us! Email us for the list of guest states thus far.

[Boise] The train continues to grow, and should be more than 100 kites by Sept 5. We'll fly as many as wind and weather permit during the Weiser HS all-class reunion, and at smaller reunions with family and friends duing the weekend in the Snake River Valley.

[Spanish Fork 84660] Guest Kite Fliers: Berkeley Kite Wranglers & the Kiteman Productions Show Team from Orlando Florida (more to be added in the near future)

General Description: This will be a unique event celebrating kites, wind driven and wind powered devices held on a plateau on a mountainside just outside Spanish Fork Utah. The plateau is the site of The Spanish Fork Gun Club. The Gun Club is located near the mouth of Spanish Fork Canyon ; in the heart of the Wasatch Mountains, overlooking the beautiful Utah Valley. There are great camping sites with hook-ups close by.

This kite festival is being held in conjunction with the ribbon cutting of the largest wind generator project in the State of Utah. We suspect there will be wind because Edison International has built multiple 500' tall wind generators in the canyon just next to kite site. There is also a beautiful reservoir on the site where Kiteman Productions Show Team will perform with their kites flown behind watercraft. This will be a rare opportunity to see this unique form of kite flying on the West side of the country.

The governor and legislators of Utah will be present. The Utah Clean Energy Commission will also be on site to help educate the public. We will be attempting to break a Guinness record with the most number of windmills (6',9' and 12' three blade) ever assembled in the same location. Windmills are being sold in advance of the event to businesses in Spanish Fork to help raise sponsorship money for the event.

This location offers a rare stunning view over a expansive valley surrounded by snow capped mountains. I believe this will be a unique mountain kite flying experience for all attending.
