[Beech Mountain] A Family Fun event with lots of room to fly your kites, or watch the Art Kites, Giant Display kites, and Sport Kite demos. There will be lots of vendors on hand, kite games, kids racing with Bols (parachutes) and a kite sales tent. Saturday afternoon Kite makers will bring their creations to be judged by Master Kite maker Charlie Dunton, and on Sunday kids will have the opportunity to color a kite of their own. There will be judging Sunday which MAY include Largest Kite, Smallest Kite, Prettiest kite, and several other categories as the judges announce them.
         
[Callaway] The Callaway (NE) Kite Flight is held on Labor Day weekend. It is an amazing AKA-sanctioned event that has hosted guests from at least 21 nations and 29 states since the event began in 1991. Guests of the Callaway Kite Flight drive into the event site, between rows of flags, representing guests from all over the world.
Professional and amateur fliers decorate the skies over the breath-takingly beautiful Nebraska countryside. Children and adults enjoy the large and colorful kites flown by our professional kite fliers. You can bring your own kite or buy one at one of the on-site vendors.

Admission is only $3 per person per day (ages 3 & under free). Buses from nearby nursing homes are admitted free. There is plenty of free parking.
         
[Two Rivers] Once again, Neshotah Beach in Two Rivers is the place to be this Labor Day Weekend. The 12th Annual Kites Over Lake Michigan, brought to you by our Title Sponsors Fox Communities Credit Union and Shoreline Credit Union, will be held there on Sept. 2nd and 3rd, 2017.This is one of the largest kite festivals in the Midwest, attracting kitefliers and people from all over the country. Those who come will be treated to some incredible displays of giant show kites of every type and size, precision stunt teams performing amazing aerial ballet with their kites, spectacular and colorful ground displays and activities for kids and the public both days.The fun does not stop at the end of the day on Saturday because we will have a mass release of Sky Lanterns followed by a Fireworks Show finale, weather permitting. Sky Lanterns will be available for sale at the beach and UFO, and only 100% bio-degradable Sky Lanterns will be allowed to be released there. Those with metal wires and candles will not be allowed. On Sunday morning, we will have free kite making for kids from 9.00 am to 11.00 am.There will be a shuttle bus service from the Two Rivers High School to the beach for both days. [Mentor] Our monthly “Free Fly” where members get together to show off their latest kites or tell their latest stories of where they have been. We got chased off our regular field and just went down the lake to Mentor Headlands to fly at the beach. We also are there to help anyone who has any problems with a kite they have with them.
Plug in “Edgewater Park” Cleveland, Ohio into your map program and follow the directions. We are at the lower park near the lake side of the park. Look for the banners.

[Oak Bluffs] The MV Wind Festival, now in it’s 7 year is a day of fun and flying for all ages. Beautiful Ocean Park in Oak Bluffs on Martha’s Vineyard is the setting for this family friendly event. Free kite making for children with prizes and games from 10:30 to 1pm. Adult flying competitions with prizes from 1 to 3pm. Games and fun for everyone all day.
 
         
[Ogunquit] The 19th Annual Capriccio Festival of Kites will be held on September 9th, 2017, on the Ogunquit Beach from 9am to 2pm. The Festival is part of a two week celebration of the Arts. Over 300 kites will be given away to kids to decorate and fly. All volunteers that help with set-up, kite decorating, or demonstrate any kite flying will receive a free Capriccio Kite Festival t-shirt and free parking. Come early, stay late, and help us decorate the skies with kites. Rain Date Sunday September 10th, 2017 from 9am to 2pm

[Broken Arrow] SkyDance Kite Festival is a free public kite festival. Kite fliers from around the midwest will fly their giant show kites while the public can fly their kites as well. Chisholm Trail Park is a large beautiful park. There will be a kite vendor and a food vendor. Shade canopies are allowed.
