[Wildwood] On the beach between E Hand Ave and E Burk Ave and the Wildwoods Convention Center, the 32nd annual Wildwoods International Kite Festival begins on Friday at noon with the Unlocking of the Ocean ceremony outside of the Wildwoods Convention Center. Festivities following include opening of the Kite Sales Tent, Friday Night Social via the local South Jersey Kite Flyers Club (all-you-can-eat buffet for $10 per person), and the 9:00pm Illuminated Night Kite Fly. Saturday includes the auction (open to all) and Saturday and Sunday include large inflatable kites, sport kite demo’s, team flying and family games. Monday features the World Indoor Kite Competition inside the Wildwoods Convention Center. FREE to spectators. [NEW HUDSON] The Lyon Township is celebrating it’s 10th Anniversary starting with a Friday night kite fly and music in the Park. Friday night will be from 6:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Saturday is from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Sunday 11:00 to 3:00 There will be kite building for kids, kite demo’s by the Windjammers, Team SkyFX, Blues Brothers, Team Sky Burner and many more. Large inflatables by Daryl Watters.
       
[Oyhut] Come watch, fly for fun, or fly to compete. ALL skill levels welcome. It doesn’t matter if you are a single line kite enthusiast, an individual, pairs, or team sport kite flyer, lets get together and have some fun. [East Tawas] This is a FREE family event. We have kite making for the kids, candy drops for the kids,tons of prizes and kites galore.There will be kites of all sizes and shapes from little tiny to giants flying.Plus lots of stunt kites with demonstrations throughout the day. If you don’t feel like flying a kite just come and enjoy the view!!

[Oswego] The Bemelmans Festival is in honor of Ludwig Bemelmans, author of the "Madeline" children’s picture books, who was stationed at Fort Ontario. An Historic Site and NY State Park, the location is on a bluff above the shores of Lake Ontario, with Westerly winds often providing incredible flying conditions. It also overlooks the Oswego Harbor and Lighthouse. The Kiting events have been woven into the what was a lengthy, city-wide event last year. The hosting all-volunteer organization, The Friends Of The Fort will be providing a detailed schedule on line that will be filled as the date gets closer. First organizational meeting is 1/18/2018. Kiters are welcome all day long; the park closes officially at dusk. Parking is on site and free.
 
         
[Tomah] Color the sky at the First Annual Tomah Kite Fest! Join us on June 2nd at the Tomah High School Varsity Soccer Fields for a fun, free day full of kites and activities. Bring your blankets, chairs, sunglasses, umbrellas and kites for this relaxing day in the sun. The festivities will feature Wisconsin Kiters Club giant show kites and precision stunt kite demonstrations. Other activities include kite decorating, activity tent, and so much more. [Saint-Honoré-de-Chicoutimi] Saint-Honoré dans l’Vent International kite festival takes place at Saint-Honoré local airport, in Saguenay, Québec, Canada.
Over the years, the festival has become the biggest event of it’s kind in Quebec. Guests kite flyers from different countries attend every year as well as many talented local kite fliers and enthusiasts. Stunt-kites, inflatables and show kites, power kiting on the runway of the airport, indoor demos and our incredible night fly are just a few of the activities that the public comes to see.
There are no competition at this event, only good kite flying and fun with friends. Even if invitations are limited, kites fliers are welcome to attend on their own. Contact Brigitte (brigitte.b@videotron.ca or 418-590-1000) for all détails.
       
[Nags Head] Francis Rogallo was a NASA scientist and inventor of the flexible wing. His inventions started the sport of hang gliding and his designs have carried over into the development of stunt kites, power kites, and hang gliders that are flown today. We invite you to join us and fly a kite at the 36th Annual Rogallo Kite Festival to celebrate Francis Rogallo and his many accomplishments.

[Lincoln City]
Held on the beach at the D River State Recreation Site, the annual Summer Kite Festival is a Lincoln City family vacation tradition. Join us for two days of kite flying activities that will have you soaring.
Parking is available at the Lincoln City Community Center and Lincoln City Outlets. Free shuttle service is available at both locations. Shuttle buses run a continuous loop from 10 am to 4 pm on Saturday and Sunday.
         
Windscape (SK)
[Swift Current] The SaskPower Windscape Kite Festival welcomes an impressive cast of Celebrity Kite Flyers each year to present an incredible array of kites against the beautiful Saskatchewan sky. Over 40 national and international stars of kite performing and kite-making annually attend Windscape, most of whom have flown at some of the most prestigious and largest festivals in the world.
Along with the fantastic lineup of kite artist and flyers, the SaskPower Windscape Kite Festival features a wide variety of activated for children and families. The TD Bank Children’s Tent offers many opportunities to keep kids of all ages entertained and engaged. There is a bubble station, balloon sculpting, a straw bale maze, a “Flying Dragon” booth and face-painting offered to people of all ages. The most popular activity at Windscape is the Kite Building Workshops, where everyone can create a custom made kite. With the assistance of skilled volunteers, both children and adults can construct a simple sled or bird-shaped kite guaranteed to fly.
There is no admission to come and enjoy the SaskPower Windscape Kite Festival, and visitors receive a free festival program and passport upon arrival. There is plenty to do at Windscape, but it is still recommended to take the time to sit back and enjoy the sky filled with colour and characters. Bring a chair and join Swift Current in watching the parade of interesting kite performances and artistic masterpieces as they take over the vast Saskatchewan skies.
         
[Grayland] Windriders monthly fun fly and picnic. The fun fly will be at 12:00 PM at the Grayland Beach Approach Rd usually to the south of the approach. Then pot luck is at 6:00 PM at the North Willapa Grange Hall.
 
         
[Weston] Lewis County will be hosting their first annual kite festival at the historic Jackson Mill 4-H club air strip in Weston WV. We will have New Era Kite club putting on demonstrations, teaching about kites, kite building, kite flying. Buy a kite at the festival, make one or bring one from home. All ages are welcome to this free event. Food will be available.
