First Night Providence is a large assembly of artists on display throughout the City of Providence. Regarding kites we have an open ballroom with a "kids kitemaking workshop" for 400 kids. Paul Berard leads this clinic from 2-5 pm. Currently, we will run at least 2 sets of indoor kite ballet. Fliers such as Ron Graziano, Scott Weider, Paul Berard, Shawn Tinkham, Ari Contzius, and others will perform in a 30 minute set on the hour. We stop at 5PM, march in an artists procession and return for 3 more kite ballet sets from 6 - 9PM. Then, join our staff at the Seaview Inn in Newport! We're planning a BIG party at the Seaview after the event (10 PM to 1 AM). Come celebrate the New Year in Providence and then Newport, RI!
