The 20th Annual Wildwoods International Kite Festival, the East Coast Stunt Kite Championships, the World Indoor Kite Competition Approximately 200-300 kitefliers attend the festival and participate in three days of workshops, competitions and fun flying. The festivals starts on Friday afternoon with a local school program, followed by a media fly, a barbecue and registration and ends with our annual Nite Kite Fly. Saturday is filled with sport kite competitions, fighter kite competitions, a festival field filled by local kite clubs and featured guest fliers. Inside the convention center, workshops and exhibitions of kites and kite related materials are open to the public. On Saturday night there is a Silent and Loud Auction. Sunday is a repeat of Saturday with lots more high flying fun. On Sunday night there is an Awards Banquet and the theme this year is Mardi Gras East! So, bring some beads and a mask and join in with the cajun celebration. On Monday, the World Indoor Kite Competition takes place in the Wildwoods Convention Center from 10am to 4pm. We have rokkaku battles, attempt a world record for giant kites (bring yours) and numerous workshops for kite enthusiasts as well as the public.
