Description:
The GIKCF, now in it’s fifth year, is a family oriented festival featuring two days of relaxed fun flys, demos, free kitemaking activities for children, and numerous prizes and giveaways. Our sister city in Japan sends a contingent from the Tahara Kite Preservation Society that always delights the crowd with their battle kite demo and opportunity to build your own traditional Japanese kite. In addition to the kite activities, their is also a cultural fair featuring music, art, crafts and food from allends of the globe. Check out the festival website at www.kitefest.org for full details

Georgetown is just north of Lexington - take exit 126 off of I-75 and head west on HWY 460. Cardome Centre is located on HWY 25, 1 mile north of downtown Georgetown.
