37th Annual Great Delaware Kite Festival is the second longest running annual kite festival in the country. This popular event gives people of every age and skill level an opportunity to come together for a day of fun and excitement. In 1998 it received the Governor’s Tourism Aware for Outstanding One Day Special Event. It is co-sponsored by the Lewes Chamber of Commerce and the Delaware Division of Parks & Recreation and is staged in beautiful Cape Henlopen State Park where the Atlantic Ocean meets the Delaware Bay.
