Description:
Because our second grade class of gifted students is studying Earth and Sky, we have decided to celebrate both with a Kite Day. Mr. Richard Dermer and his wife Marti will be offering us a chance to create our own "sled" kites as well as teaching us about kite history, safety, and mordren kites. We will then be taking our newly assemblied kites to the "U" at the University of Tulsa and letting them fly! Mr. and Mrs. Dermer are also bringing many of their kites that they have collected from all over the world and will attempt to fly a giant 18' x 24' one! This event is taking place at 12:00 on Friday, April 15th.
