Explore the Museum’s newest interactive exhibit, Kites to Kitty Hawk, with an afternoon full of hands-on activities. Make your own kite to fly on the Museum lawn and enter in a paper airplane contest! Learn about modern kite flying and design from members of W.A.C.K.O.S., a local kite flying group. Free with regular Museum admission. Free to Smithsonian magazine subscribers, as part of Smithsonian Magazine’s Museum Day. No reservations required.
