Description:
Bangor’s first annual KiteFest, produced by Maine Discovery Museum, will take place at the Bangor Waterfront on the Penobscot River. In addition to playing host to several Northeast kiting clubs, the festival will offer professional kiting areas where the pros can show off their incomprarable skills. There will also be a novice flying area, lessons from the pros for beginners, kite history and kite building workshops, musical entertainment and the grand opening of a spectacular traveling kite exhibit from the Drachen Foundation at Maine Discovery Museum, a short walk from the flying field.
