Description:
KiteFest is a welcomed annual kiting event for Northwest kite enthusiasts, families, and community. This one day event presented by The Model Family Mentorship Program is designed to encourage family wellness, teaches & promotes the hobby of kiting, and inform the community about Model Family efforts to strengthen families through volunteerism and mentorship.
Model Families teams up with the community to discover the "art of kite flying". All attendees will receive a flyable kite while supplies last. By Bus
Metro bus routes 74 and 75 serve the park along Sand Point Way N.E. Connections are in the University District (Routes 74 and 75) and Northgate (Route 75).
By Vehicle
From the N.E. 45th Street exit, go east on 45th, past the University of Washington, and down the 45th Street ramp. Continue east past University Village Shopping Center. Bear left and continue about 2 miles. You will pass Children’s Hospital and Regional Medical Center and Sand Point Village/Princeton Avenue.
