Description:
Kite Day, in celebration of Children’s Day in Japan, will be held on Sunday, May 7 from 1-4 pm at Valley View Playfields. Musical entertainment, refreshments and free kites will be available. The Mayor of Bloomington, Minnesota and the Mayor of Izumi City, Japan (Bloomington’s Sister City) will be in attendance. Bring your kite, come watch others fly, or just come enjoy the festive atmosphere. This free event is held annually in Bloomington, Minnesota.
