Description:
The 19th annual FAMILY KITE FESTIVAL will be held Saturday, May 27 and Sunday 28th 2006. NOW 2 days long! Sponsored by WJZI, WLUM and WMCS Radio, Gift of Wings, and the Kite Society of Wisconsin and Illinois. Featured performers include Chicago Fire, Josh and Zack Gordon, Charlie Sotich, Team Pegasus, Dan Newman, Paula Schenk, Jim Wirt, Paul Koepke, Mike Delfar and the kites of Yves LaForest and Anne Clement, Jean Lamire, Jim Cosca, Brett Williams. Veterans Park from 10 am until 5pm. and is free with plenty of free parking. The Grand Launch of 400 kites will take place at noon. Rhonda Ronsman will sing the National Anthem. This event will be shown live on the Internet! Kites and food will be sold at the festival. Kick off your Spring with the FAMILY KITE FESTIVAL!
