IKDA first international winter-time kite festival is going to be held in Kish ýIsland, Iran. This event is a cooperative work between IKDA and International ýKite Federation (IKF). The scheduled time for this competition is on 8 Jan. 2007 ýfor 3 days. While every place in the world becomes frozen in winter and kite and ýkite flying go to winter-time sleep, here in Kish Island there is a dramatic mild ýclimate which makes it possible to fly the kites again.ý

Tehran to Kish Island transportation will be freely done by IKDA. Teams with more than 5 members will receive additional financial supports.

Kish Island placed near Dubai in UAE, is a very nice, free commercial zone with ýfantastic commerce, entertainment, and making memorable events opportunities, ýespecially in winter season, when the weather conditions come to help people ýenjoy more. In this nice Island there are several international hotels to host our ýfestival guests as they deserve. Well-known trade companies through the world ýhave representatives in this region.ý
The festival will be held in two sport fields: Kite flying and Disc flying ýcompetitions. Disc flying will be held in two divisions: Ultimate and Freestyle.ý
Prizes for these competitions are as following:ý
ý 1- 1st place: 3000 $ý
ý 2- 2nd place: 2000 $ý
ý 3- 3rd place: 1000 $ý
