The Tour De Kites continues in 2007 with.... The 20th annual TIME WARNER CABLE FAMILY KITE FESTIVAL is scheduled for Saturday, May 26 and Sunday 27th 2007, MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND. NOW 2 days long! Sponsored by our great media partners, WJZI, WLUM and WMCS Radio, Gift of Wings, and the Kite Society of Wisconsin and Illinois. Featured performers include Chicago Fire, Josh and Zack Gordon, Team EOS, Brett Williams, Dan Jones, Charlie Sotich, Team Pegasus, Dan Newman, Something Old and Something New, Fire & Ice, Paula Schenk, that crazy and talented Mrs Kite Lady-Donna Schenk will wow us all, with her kite making skills and her "Kite making Moments", Jim Wirt, Paul Koepke, Mike Delfar and the kites of Yves LaForest and Jean Lemire. The The Time Warner Cable Family Kite Festival will be held in Veterans Park from 10 am until 6 pm on Saturday and 10 am until 5 pm on Sunday, with the Kids Mad Dash held at 2:00 pm.

The festival is FREE with plenty of free parking. The Grand Launch of 500 kites will take place at noon. Rhonda Begus will sing the National Anthem. This event will be shown live on the Internet! Kites and food will be sold at the festival. Kick off your Spring with the TIME WARNER CABLE FAMILY KITE FESTIVAL! The Kite Society of Wisconsin and Illinois..It doesn't get any better than this!
