Description:
Get your child (or inner child) outdoors! Bring, make, or purchase a kite at this windy event for all ages. Activities will include kite making woskshops, exhibits, stunt kite demos, balloon animals, kid’s crafts, and presentations on wind energy and kites. Kite and wind experts will be present to answer questions, demonstrate, and share their talent for harnessing and playing in the wind. Presentations by meteorologist Tim Elbertson of FOX 21 and Michael Kostrzewa, P.E. of the Wind Application Center at Colorado State University. $4.00/person admission supports the nature center; RR for kite making workshops.

Directions:
Go South on I-25 from Colorado Springs; take exit 132; go east on Highway 16 about seven-tenths of a mile to Highway 85/87; proceed south on Highway 85/87 for five-tenths of a mile to Cattail Marsh Road; turn west and follow Cattail Marsh Road to the Nature Center.
