Description:
The first annual Idaho State Kite Festival will be in Pocatoello, Idaho, and is the outgrowth of kite workshops and kite flies held throughout Idaho and In Oregon and Washington during the past two years. It will be held annually, involve numerous public and service groups, and, hopefully, claim a place on the calendar for Idaho tourists and kite enthusiasts. During the 2007 Festival, veterans led by the Veterans of Foreign Wars will hold a memorial fly and breast cancer survivors will hold a celebratory fly. Workshops include Tom Tinney’s miniature kite, a Japanese kite, breast cancer survivor kites and patriotic kites by veterans and friends.
