Description:
The 2008 Georgetown International Kite and Culture Festival will be held at Cardome Centre in Georgetown, Ky, located 15 miles north of Lexington and 70 miles south of Cincinnati. It will focus on non-competitive kiting, kitemaking, and the ever popular kite battle performed by the members of the Tahara Kite Preservation Society of Tahara-cho, Japan. Lots of other activities for kitefliers of all ages. In addition to the kiting activities, the festival will include a cultural fair with food, music, crafts and cultural demonstrations from a variety of countries and cultures.

Directions:
Georgetown is located just north of Lexington, Ky, and one hour south of Cincinnati. From I-75 take exit 125 (Hwy 460) and head west 1 mile into Georgetown. At the intersection of 460 and US 25 in downtown Georgetown turn right and go 1 mile north. Cardome Centre is on the left.
