Description:

The Seventh Annual Kite Day at Pacheco State Park features free: kite making, face painting, bubble gum blowing and pie eating contests, and nature tables to check out, in a beautiful wilderness state park. Everyone who flies a kite recieves a souvenir Kite Day button.

Directions:

On Highway 152 right between Gilroy and Los Banos. Turn south at the Dinosaur Point sign and follow the kites into the park, at the top of the hill.

The only cost is the $5 per vehicle state park day use fee. Come any time to enjoy the fun! Bring lunch and drinking water or buy it from the food vendor. (Be prepared for every kind of weather, and there is no drinking water in the park.)
