A host of kite flying activities is set to begin on Saturday, May 30 at 10 AM during the Third Annual Pontiac Kite Festival, located at the Pontiac Rec Plex 2104 Old Airport Road. The weekend long event will feature wonderful FREE family entertainment. On site will be Chicago Kite/Kite Harbor; Illinois Kite Enthusiast Club; Sparling Entertainment and 180 GO - The premier Midwest Quad Kite Flying Team! Come out and enjoy music provided by DJ Lane Lindstrom, who will be sharing a wonderful assortment of music including some great kite flying tunes. Several food vendors serving a variety of delicious food will be on hand too! Grab your lawn chair and kite, or buy a kite on site. The festival will set sail Saturday and Sunday, May 30 & 31, 2009 from 10 AM to 5 PM.

From I-55 exit 197, go east on Route 116 to Old Airport Road go South. Follow Old Airport Road to the Pontiac Rec Plex on the east side of the road, just south of the Pontiac Correctional Center.
