Description:

A fun fly with large kites, sport kite demos, rokakku battle, fighter kite competition, running of the bols, candy drops, kids kite making, ground displays and kite sales. Returning in 2009 with a larger bang, the festival will run simultaneously with the Rockaway’s Music and Arts Council and will include music, food, live entertainment, Saturday evening banquet and auction. Lodging will once again be at the infamous Surfside Motel (SEE below) in Howard Beach. Destined to become one of the largest kite festivals in the New York area, this year’s event is an appetizer to what future years are being planned for. Join us for two days of fun on the beach at the 8th annual NY Kite Festival!
