Description:
Don’t curse the wind-celebrate it at the Celebration of Wind. Enjoy kite flying, a variety of competitions with prizes, activity booths, a flight simulator, demonstrations, presentations, concessions and more! What is the future of alternative energy? Visit one of our many exhibit booths including Power Company of Wyoming, Rocky Mountain Power, Whirlwind LLC, Horizon Wind Energy and the University of Wyoming to learn more about wind energy. Let’s find out how many kites can we get in the air at once. Bring your kite or get one here and we’ll fill the sky! The event is free to the public. Friday's events are located at the Depot, 400 West Front Street in Rawlins, WY. Saturday’s events will be at the Carbon County Fairgrounds, located on the corner of Harshman and Spruce Streets in Rawlins, WY.
