The 10th Annual New Jersey Stunt Kite Championships held in Liberty State Park, Jersey City, NJ is part of the New Jersey Harbor Heritage Festival. The festival features arts and crafts exhibits, live music, food and entertainers, art and maritime exhibits and the best view of the New York skyline you have ever seen. Excursions to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island are nearby along with a new water taxi to Manhattan. Kiteflying exhibitions by LVKS, SJKF and other Pennsylvania, NJ and NY area AKA members, plus kite sales by Sky Festivals. This is the kickoff event of the 1999-2000 Eastern League Sport Kite season. The fields are greatly expanded and there is additional room this year for big kites and Buggys!!!

Exit 14B off of the NJ turnpike and follow signs for Liberty State Park and the Liberty Science Center. Then proceed towards the water - the kite flying area is behind the Railroad museum. From NY use the Lincoln Tunnel.

Headquarters hotel is the Club Suites by Doubletree located at 455 Washington Blvd in Jersey City overlooking the NY skyline. Ask for the group rate for the Harbor Heritage Festival when you call - 201-499-2400. We are also planning on going out to dinner at Arthurs Steak House in Hoboken on Saturday night.
