Description:
A WHOLE NEW EXPERIENCE!! Chicago Botanic Garden..August 8th & 9th! KSWI in partnership with Gift of Wings and the Chicago Botanic Garden presents our Fifth Annual Kite Festival at the Garden, featuring the Chicago Fire, Josh and Zach Gordon, Dan Newman, Mike Delfar, Ann Vondriska Brinnehl, and Paul Koepke and Kathy Brinnehl. Featuring performances from Fire and Ice, and Something Old, Something new. A highlight of the weekend will be Charlie Sotich and his kite making workshop for the kids of Chicago. The festival will be located in a relatively small flying field, west of the main entrance. Kite flyers will have one nice area to fly during this event. The times are 10:00 am until 4:00 pm each day. The gardens were voted as the third best attraction in the Chicagoland area, so plan to spend the entire day flying kites and visiting this beautiful park. This is our fifth annual event and we want to make a very good impression. There is a small parking fee. This is another wonderful kite flying event brought to you by the Kite Society of Wisconsin & Illinois, and your friends at Gift of Wings.....Now the number ONE kite festival in the Chicagoland area. .
