Description:
|
KITE FLYING AND SAND SCULPTURE BUILDING CONTEST. Registration begins at 11:00 am at the parking lot on the north end of Kingsley Dam. Awards, free live music, grubbing out and more family fun starts at 4:30 pm at the Sands Edge deck and parking lot. Additional sculpture viewing and individual kite flying will continue on Sunday so stick around for the whole weekend. Pre-registration is not required, but recommended. There is no registration fee.

Ogallala and go north and go over the dam enter the state park turn to the south go to the parking lot on the north end of Kingsley Dam

Comments:

Sculpting and forming may not begin until 12:00 noon and judging will be at 4:00 p.m. Only natural materials from the lake and surrounding area may be used for embellishing the sculpture. Forms are allowed for rough shaping only. No supports are allowed to keep the sculpture standing. Violators of these rules will have their birthday taken away and be disqualified from the competition.
