Description:
The festival will include a mini-museum of kites from around the world along with entertainment on the main stage. Several new show kite designs will be shown for the first time in this part of the country. Parachute races and kiteflying demos will be scheduled during the day. Food and kite vendors will also be at the location. The event is FREE and open to the public.

Directions:
From Houston, south on US-59 exiting University Blvd on the west side of Sugarland. Continue on the service road turning left under the Freeway on University. The park is at the end of the road a short distance from the freeway.
Comments:
Sugarland is a part of the major metropolitan area of Houston.The city has numerous hotels, restaurants, and shopping at the nearby mall and shopping district. The city incorporated 50 years ago as a company town providing sugar to the world. It is now a large and diverse city.
