The Maryland International Kite Expo is an exciting event that features a showcase field for kitebuilders, the 11th Annual Mid Atlantic Stunt Kite Championships, kite games, demos and free sport kite lessons. Three sound stages cover ten blocks of high flying fun. This year, "Women Influential in Kiting" is the theme for the festival. Some of the featured guests include Joann Weber, Nancy Lockwood, Margo Brown, Valerie Govig, Tanna Haynes, Kathy Goodwind, Sherrie Arnold and Barbara Meyers to name a few.

Ocean City is located at the furtherst eastern point of Maryland and the Delmarva Peninsula. Take Route 13 or Route 50. By US AIR through Salisbury / Ocean City airport, otherwise the closest airports are Baltimore (BWI) or Philadelphia, each about a three hour drive.
