Description:
Kiter John Farrell, in conjunction with the City of Fort Collins Colorado, is hosting this large Kite Festival. There is an Art on Rokkakus auction the night before (April 30th) at Aztlan Recreation Center. There will possibly be some kids kite workshops. HQ Kites may also be doing a landboard demo.

Directions:
From Interstate 25, go west towards the mountains, on Prospect, then go south (left) on S.College (US 287) then make a right onto Drake, then go to the end, the "T" and turn left on South Overland Trail, until you see the park on the left.
OR when you get onto S.College, go down to Horsetooth Rd, make a right, and continue to the end and see the park on the right. We will be on the other side of the park though.

The festival is scheduled for May1. Family oriented kite festival for free with lots of contests and giveaways.
There will many activities going on during the festival.
Kids Kite Making. Over 500 kites to be given away. Mix McGraw doing demos of flying long stunt kite stacks. Got to see it to believe it. Bob Matteo flying big kites. We have a special field set aside for these huge displays. Spectacular. PakRams showing off their heritage and kite flying skills. You might even learn to fly a fighter kite. Kite Ballet. Sport kites flying choreographed routines to music. Rokkaku Kite Fight. Who will have the last kite flying? ---------------------------- On April 30, Friday night, there will be a silent auction of a dozen ROK's decorated by top name local artists. These ROK kites are 48" Rokkakus painted in acrylic paints.
Unique experience for the artist to paint on kites and it brings out some new things from these artists. All of art is first class and typically
