Start your kite adventure with ''The 32nd Annual Don Jacobs Toyota Frank Mots International Kite Festival to be held on Saturday, September 11th,& Sunday September 12th, 2010, in Veterans Park on Milwaukee's Lakefront from 10:00 am until 6:00Pm Saturday and 10:00 am until 5:00pm on Sunday. We invited County Executive Scott Walker to kick off the festival at 12 noon with the Caribou Coffee grand launch of hopefully 500 kites. That's right...two great days of flying. The event is sponsored by the Kite Society of Wisconsin and Illinois, and Gift of Wings, and our newest sponsors, Don Jacbos Toyota, 102.1 WLUM, B93, and 1290am WMCS. Featured performers include Chicago Fire Kite Team, featuring Eric Wolfe, (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d5J5X2dKmr0) the new Revolution Kite Flying Team...IQUAD. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oP8emap5ie4) Mots also will feature Josh and Zach Gordon, 02, the kids kites of Charlie Sotich, Dan Newman, Paul Koepke, Mike Delfar, Ann Vondriska, & Donna Schenk as Mrs Kite Lady, and the most powerful line up of giant kites in the Midwest..The Giant Kites of Yves Laforest. Gift of Wings Welcomes the famed kitemaker, Ron Gibian, to his second Mots experience. Yves Laforest and his Canadian Dream Team will feature the ALL NEW SUPER GIANT OCTOPUS kite flying high over Milwaukee.
