Description:
West Sayville, New York – The 3rd Annual Long Island Maritime Museum Kite Festival will be held Saturday, September 25th, on the picturesque grounds of the Museum, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission to the Festival is $2.00 (children under 5 enter free).
Long Island Maritime Museum’s Kite Festival is a day of family fun designed to provide unique experiences that promote learning, healthy outdoor activities and new adventures. The Kite Festival will feature a number of interactive activities including games and attractions for children, live music, delectable treats and a kite construction zone where families can work together to customize their kites. Featured every year is a build your own kite contest and Bol races in which awards are given in different categories. Kite kits are available for $5.00.

Directions:
Take Sunrise highway East to Lakeland ave. Turn right onto Lakeland ave and follow it till it turns into Railroad ave. Continue on to Montauk highway (27A). Turn right and drive West on Montauk hwy. Just pass the fire house on the left is West Ave. Turn left onto West Ave. The Museum entrance is about a quarter mile down on the right.
