Come out and build a kite with us at the 63rd Annual Ocean Beach Kite Festival. Ocean Beach Recreation Center and the Ocean Beach Kiwanis Club are proud to bring you the longest running kite festival in the United States. Directions:
I-8 west to end, go South into town straight (Sunset Cliffs Blvd, turn Left on Santa Monica or Newport Ave, go to school yard area. After kids kite contest, they go on a parade down Newport Avenue to the beach to fly. Take any street that's open west to Beach.

I'm posing this in Honor of my FIRST Kite Festival, which has motivated me to be the Obsessed Kiter I am today! Is the San Diego Kite Club participating in this anymore? We did in the 70's and 80's!
