Description:
There’s something for everyone at the 8th Annual Kites over Calaveras. Large kites, small kites, and everything in between will be there. There will be a kite making session on Saturday June 4th from 1:00 pm. to 4:00 pm. at the San Andreas Town Hall, located in beautiful downtown San Andreas. Space is limited so reserve your kite kit early.
On Sunday June 5th the festival starts at 11:00 am. and runs to 5:00 pm.
Learn-to-Fly, Candy Drop, Mystery Ballet, Mass Ascension (a tribute to the Red, White, and Blue), with kite flying demonstrations through out the day. Brought back this year by popular demand, our very own, Kite Demolition Derby. Plus, kids activities and a small engine display. So come out and join the fun!

Directions:

Take Hwy. 49 to San Andreas, CA. turn east on Mountain Ranch Rd. go 3/4 mile to Park Dr. turn right (Park Dr. is just past the Senior Center on the right). Parking is also available at 833 Hwy. 49 (the old airport). Look for signs to the event.

Kites over Calaveras Festival is located in San Andreas, the heart of the California Gold Country. San Andreas is also where Black Bart infamous stagecoach bandit was jailed and tried.
