Description:

It’s a fun, inexpensive way for families to enjoy the outdoors in a beautiful state park. There is music, free face painting, plus free bubble gum and pie eating contests and a Make Your Own Kite Free table. There will be free crafts and nature tables to check out. The only fee is the $5 day use fee per car. Bring your own drinking water.

It is on the south side of Highway 152 between Gilroy and Los Banos. Turn in at Dinosaur Point Road, then 1/2 mile in, go right, down the dirt road by the Park sign.

Bring a picnic lunch or buy one from Hot Dog Heaven. There is no drinking water at Pacheco State Park. The contests will start about 1 p.m. Bring a kite, sun screen, lawn chairs, and clothing in case it is sunny and hot OR windy and cool.
