Start your kite adventure with "The 34th Annual Uptown Ford Lincoln Frank Mots International Kite Festival..It’s a Revolution.. to be held on Saturday, September 8th,& Sunday September 9th, 2012, in Veterans Park on Milwaukee’s Lakefront from 10:00 am until 6:00Pm Saturday and 10:00 am until 5:00pm on Sunday. We will kick off the festival at 12 noon with the grand launch of hopefully 600 kites.
The event is sponsored by the Kite Society of Wisconsin and Illinois, and Gift of Wings, and our newest sponsors, Uptown Ford Lincoln, B93.3, and 1290am WMCS. Featured performers, from "America’s Got Talent", are Connor and Amy Doran. Our Canadian Dream Team will feature the ALL NEW SUPER GIANT OCTOPUS kite flying high over Milwaukee. Milwaukee is: 1-1/2 hour drive from Madison (via I-94), 1-1/2 hour drive from Chicago (via I-90), 5-1/2 hour drive from Minneapolis/St. Paul (via I-94). BE AWARE THAT THE FREEWAY SYSTEM In DOWNTOWN MILWAUKEE IS COMPLETED. From the west, straight into Milwaukee and head to I-794 exit Lincoln Memorial drive! Easy!!
