The Kite Collective welcomes all to celebrate the Kite Machine’s first year and pitch in to help storm relief victims. The festivities begin at 1 p.m. on Sunday, November 11, 2012, at the Green Oasis & Gilbert’s Garden, East Village.
Enjoy live music performances by the Dust Busters & Birdhive Boys, the Garden’s annual lantern-making festival, Pin the Tail on the Kite, and more fun activities for the whole family. Rockaway Kite Machine will be making a special appearance! Come over early to get your hands on homemade pie and apple cider.
The first 30 attendees will receive a Kite Collective micro-kite door prize. Throughout the day, bid for kite-inspired artwork, kites and kite-making kits. Suggested donation $5.
We will be collecting non perishables, mops, batteries, candles, flashlights, cleaning supplies, boots, socks, warm clothes, paper goods for our friends at the Rockaways. All contributions are much appreciated.
