Frank Mots Int’l Kite Festival will be held on Saturday, September 7th, and Sunday, September 8th, 2013, in Veterans Park on Milwaukee’s Lakefront from 10:00 am until 6:00 pm Saturday and 10:00 am until 5:00pm on Sunday. We will kick off the festival at noon with the Fast Track Grand Launch of, hopefully, 600 kites. Milwaukee is: 1-1/2 hour drive from Madison (via I-94), 1-1/2 hour drive from Chicago (via I-90), 5-1/2 hour drive from Minneapolis/St. Paul (via I-94). BE AWARE THAT THE FREEWAY SYSTEM In DOWNTOWN MILWAUKEE IS COMPLETED. From the west, straight into Milwaukee and head to I-794 exit Lincoln Memorial drive! Easy!! From the south, exit at "Lakefront" exit, and east to the lake!! From the north, exit "Lakefront and then east to the Lake! Veterans Park is north of the freeway exit on Lincoln Memorial Drive.
