National Kite Month - April is a series of events celebrating the kite hobby across the entire country and is supported and organized by the American Kitefliers Association and the Kite Trade International Association, It is held each spring during the month of late March- April-, most folks relate kite flying to the spring winds. We are going to dedicate this years fly in memory of the former AKA Region 8 and former President of the AKA who recently passed away, Richard H. Dermer. He was an iconic kite flier and supporter of the AKA, if you had the privelidge to know him you were indeed blessed. Bring your own drinks and snacks, there are some bleachers, but more sensitive "hinds" best bring your own chairs as well!!
