Description:
One Sky One World is an annual event which occurs every second Sunday of October. Also, known as "World Kite Day" people in hundreds of locations around the world demonstrate their concern for peace and protection of the planet by flying their kites in the universal sky which has no boundaries and circles the earth. The Denver event is widely in weekly and daily newspapers and in public service announcements on television and radio. It is free and open to the public. Opening ceremonies will include the release of 200 white doves and greetings from local dignitaries. Music will be provided by the Denver School for the Arts Jazz Band with an appearance by internaionally known pianist, Joe Bonner. Tunis Mekar, a Balinese Musical Group will also appear.

Directions:
The event will be held on the North Side of the Sloan Lake Park just west of the Boat House. The park is located off of 25th Avenue and Sheridan Blvd.
