Sky Fest continues a tradition for over 20 years of kite flying at Ft. Stevenson State Park. During this family fun event, we will have a nice assortment of kites from kid kites to large inflatables and ground bouncers as well. Both in-state and out-of-state kite flyers have been invited and confirmed. A small concession stand is offered (state board of health approved) and Prairie Wind Kite Company is the kite vendor.
There will be no competitive kite flying. Saturday will feature a kite making class.. Sunday will feature a candy drop and the kites of the day will be cellular. Monday will feature bol races (small) and the kites of the day will be Red/White/Blue anything. Don and Betty Murphy and Ann and Tony Killip will be flying large inflatables and foils/sleds during the entire weekend.
