The 27th Annual Maggiano’s FAMILY KITE FESTIVAL, presented by Prairie Farms is scheduled for Saturday, May 24th and Sunday 25th 2014, MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND. Sponsored by Maggiano’s Little Italy, Prairie Farms, B93.3, FM 102/1 and 1290 Martini Radio, Gift of Wings, and the Kite Society of Wisconsin and Illinois. Featured performers include Chicago Fire, The Windjammers, Fire & Ice, Josh and Zach Gordon, Dan Newman, Paul Koepke, Mike Delfar, Mrs Kite Lady Donna Schenk, and the Giant Kites of Yves Laforest flown by Alex and the Canadian Dream Team from Montreal, and Jean Lemire. You don’t want to miss this folks! The Family Kite Festival will be held in Veterans Park from 10 am until 6 pm on Saturday and 10 am until 5 pm on Sunday. The festival is free with plenty of free parking. The Fast Track Oil Centers Grand Launch of 600 kites will take place at noon. The Kaplan University Kids Mad Dash will take place at around 2:00 pm. Rhonda Begos will sing the National Anthem. This event will be shown live on the Internet! Kites and food will be sold at the festival. Kick off your Spring with the FAMILY KITE FESTIVAL!

1-1/2 hour drive from Chicago (via I-90)
5-1/2 hour drive from Minneapolis/St. Paul (via I-94) From the west, straight into Milwaukee and head to I-794 exit Lincoln Memorial drive! Easy!! From the South, exit to I-794 and East to the lake!! From the North, go to I794 East to the Lakefront.
