On the beach between E Hand Ave and E Burk Ave and the Wildwoods Convention Center, the 31st annual Wildwoods International Kite Festival begins on Friday at noon with the Unlocking of the Ocean ceremony outside of the Wildwoods Convention Center. Festivities following include opening of the Kite Sales Tent, Friday Night Social via the local South Jersey Kite Flyers Club (all-you-can-eat buffet for $10 per person), and the 9:00pm Illuminated Night Kite Fly. Saturday and Sunday include the East Coast Stunt Kite Championships, sport kite demo’s, team flying, kite workshops and family games. Monday features the World Indoor Kite Competition inside the Wildwoods Convention Center. FREE to spectators.
