SOBA (Save Our Beach Assoc.) will host its annual Treasures by the Sea Market Day and Kite Festival at Stahlman Park, Surfside Beach, Texas, on Saturday, November 7, 2015, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Come hungry! Homemade soups, chili, gumbo, and desserts made by some the Island’s best cooks will be available for your dining pleasure. Entertainment, activities for the kids, and door prizes will be scattered throughout the day.
The Surfside Kite Flyers and kite flyers from across the country will be showing off their skill and their spectacular kites all during the day and, if the wind and weather co-operate, there will also be night flying with lighted kites.
SOBA will use the proceeds from the event for the Christmas tree project that helps to rebuild the dunes and to plant vegetation to strengthen the dunes.
