Come Fly a Kite at Petrified Forest National Park! This region is well known for its spring winds. Let’s take advantage of the situation and go fly a kite! Petrified Forest National Park will host three kite days this spring including Saturday, March 19, 2016.
Kite day will happen at the Rainbow Forest picnic area between 1pm and 4pm — hopefully the winds will have the same schedule. Bring your own kite or make a mini kite with the ranger onsite for free. Regular park entrance fees apply. Mark your calendar!
Location: Rainbow Forest parking lot
Dates: Saturday March 19, 2016.

Directions:
If entering from the south entrance of the park, go 2 miles to the Rainbow Forest picnic area. If coming through the park from the north entrance, drive 26 miles to the picnic area. The park is about 30 minutes from Holbrook, AZ, to the west.
